anniversary of Independence Day 64th - A Trust for Future Generations

Under the theme “Independence: A Trust for Future Generations,” the Consulate General of Algeria in San Francisco, in coordination with the associations HAWA, AACNA, and ASF, and in the presence of members of the national community, commemorated the sixty-fourth (64th) anniversary of Independence Day and the restoration of national sovereignty, corresponding to July 5, 1962–2026.
This event spanned two days and featured a variety of activities for the benefit of the community, aimed at highlighting Algeria’s rich national and cultural heritage.
The commemoration concluded on July 5 with the performance of the national anthem and the recitation of Al-Fatiha in tribute to the souls of our righteous martyrs. This was followed by an address from Mr. Sofiane Chaib, Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs in charge of the National Community Abroad, directed to Algerian nationals residing overseas. The Consul General, Mr. Farouk Remache, also delivered remarks emphasizing the enduring significance of this historic day and paying tribute to the immense sacrifices of our valiant martyrs and heroic freedom fighters.
