Voting by power of attorney

In view of the legislative election scheduled for July 2, 2026, the Consulate General of Algeria in San Francisco informs Algerian nationals registered on its electoral list that, pursuant to the provisions of Ordinance No. 21-01 of March 10, 2021, as amended and supplemented, concerning the organic law relative to the electoral system, any voter who is unable to travel to the polling station on election day for any reason whatsoever, may authorize a third party to cast their vote on their behalf via a power of attorney.

 

Power of attorney can be established either:

- In person, before the services of the Consulate General;

- Or signed before competent American authorities (Public Notary) using the provided official template, and submit it by email election@cgalgeriasf.org.

The period for establishing powers of attorney will conclude on June 28, 2026.
