EMERGENCY PASSPORT
CONDITIONS
- The emergency passport is a non-biometric machine-readable passport.
- Its validity could not exceed one (01) year.
- The emergency passport is issued in extremely urgent cases and on an exceptional basis for the following cases:
- Not registered citizens, when the process of regularization of their Immigration status requires a valid passport.
- Registered citizens from another country whose passport has been lost, damaged, or stolen while in the USA.
- Registered citizens without a US passport, who do not possess a biometric electronic passport, and who, for family, professional, administrative, or health reasons, are compelled to travel urgently.
- Algerian citizens temporarily staying abroad, whose passport has been lost, damaged, or stolen, and who are compelled to travel to one or more foreign countries before returning to Algeria.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
- A written request to the Consul General, explaining the purpose of your application for an emergency passport.
- An emergency passport Application Form to be completed and signed by the applicant.
- Proof of Algerian nationality (old passport, consular card, identity card, etc…)
- Proof of address.
- Documents proving your emergency.
- Two (02) current and plain white background passport photos.
- $75 USD USPS money order.
