TRAVEL DOCUMENT “LAISSEZ-PASSER”

The “laissez-passer” is a travel document issued for Algerian nationals to enable the beneficiary to return to Algeria, when their passports are either lost, stolen or expired. It is also issued to newborns in the USA whose Algerian parents are temporarily staying (visit/tourist) or do not have a legal immigration status in the USA. The laissez-passer is valid for one month (30 days) to return to Algeria, by the shortest route by a one-way trip.
The laissez-passer request must be submitted to our services at the latest, 72 hours before the departure date.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR ADULTS

Laissez-passer Application Form duly filled out and signed.
Two (02) recent photographs.
Proof of Algerian nationality (Passport, Algerian national identity card, consular card or Military card).
The damaged or expired Algerian passport or a copy in case of loss.
A declaration of theft/loss issued by the Police Department.
One way flight ticket.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR MINORS OR NEW BORNS

Laissez-passer Application Form duly filled out and signed.
Two (02) recent photographs.
Proof of parent’s Algerian nationality (Passport, Algerian national identity card, consular card or Military card).
The original Birth Certificate of the child (Full version).
The damaged or expired Algerian passport or a copy in case of loss.
A declaration of theft/loss issued by the Police Department.
If the father is Algerian, his authorization is required and should be legalized by a US notary, or by an administrative officer in Algeria.
